आयुर्वेद के ग्रंथो में हिमोग्लोबिन (HB) बढाने के लिए औषधियाँ बताई गई है । आयुर्वेद में हिमोग्लोबिन को रंजक पित्त कहा जाता है । रंजक पित्त (HB) बढानेवाली औषधियों में कांतलौह भस्म, नवायस भस्म, सुवर्णमाक्षिक भस्म, कासीस भस्म इत्यादि श्रेष्ठ है, इन सभी भस्मों का मिश्रण करके मधु के संयोजन से रक्तवर्धक ड्रॉप्स बनाये गये हैं । विभिन्न भस्मों को आयुर्वेद में मधु के अनुपान में सेवन करने को कहा है । उत्तम प्रकार के लीची मधु में इन भस्मों का शास्त्रीय पद्धति से मिश्रण करके यह ड्रॉप्स बनाये है ।

Ayurveda has prescribed medicines for improving haemoglobin. It is called ranjak pitt in haemoglobin. Among the medicines to improve ranjak pitta or HB are kaanloh bhasm, navayas bhasm, suvarnamakshik bhasm, kaasees bhasm are considered the best. Raktavardhak drops have been prepared with an ideal mix of these medicines with organic honey. Ayurveda advises taking various  bhasms in proportion with honey. These drops are prepared by mixing high quality lichi honey with these bhasmas using the shastriya method.
