Self-reliance is the focal point of economics that is Artha Shastra. And the focal point of self-reliance or svavlamban in India is Khadi Udyog!
Respected Velji Desai Bhai was a Gandhian and belonged to Rajkot, Gujarat. He has established many small scale and cottage industries in his lifetime to make villages after villages self-reliant and self-sufficient. One such practical from his series of efforts is Khadi.
Rajkot has the khadi institution where powerlooms and handlooms are manufactured to help make villages self-reliant. Some of the handlooms also produce khadi cloth products.
Sanskruti Arya Gurukulam is continuously striving to take this noble effort of khadi by Velji Bhai, forward.
